I’m Rachel, I'm a photographer + filmmaker based in Byron Bay.
Starting my career as a documentary filmmaker, I travelled the world and spent several years working in international aid.
In 2017, I took the leap and moved to Byron Bay where I worked with The Finders Keepers Art & Design Markets. Supporting and learning from the amazing community of artist, designers and entrepreneurs.
Most recently I’ve committed to my own creative dreams, founding My Kindred where I work with families, couples and small business owners to capture authentic and soulful photographs.
You can read about my latest adventures over on my blog.
When I'm not behind a camera snapping away you'll find me playing folk music in one of Byron Bay’s beautiful cafes or hula hooping on the beach.

HOW I GIVE BACK
Becoming a small business owner has changed my life for the better and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to follow my passions.
I believe that all people have the right to choose what they want for themselves and work hard towards a goal that leads to a better quality of life.
So I pledges to make a Kiva loan of $25 for every wedding shoot undertaken.
Kiva is an international nonprofit which provides micro loans to underserved communities, helping them to create opportunity for themselves and their communities. You can check out their amazing work here.
